Five Intriguing NY Tours
Is there a niche to be filled? YES!!!! A measure of how far we have to go can be found in a May 2, 2010, feature story in the Sunday New York Times. It offered readers a “menu” of off-beat tours of the city that would “interest even the  most highly informed born-and-bred.”

Five intriguing tours were detailed – One of fashion showrooms. One of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. One of Neighborhood Eateries. One of the Wall Street Area. And the last of New York’s macabre places (crime scenes and places where celebrities died).

It is typical of all such otherwise inventive media stories that the MOST exciting real of all – the FUTURE – is conspicuously absent.

The feature story would have been REALLY something had it ventured into pointing out the many provocative choices New Yorkers have in shaping their future – that is, the many present-day sites or PROPOSED sites of projects still on the drawing board – that Future-oriented tourists would profit from knowing about.

Touring Tomorrow Today means going where no one has ventured before – much as our Star Trek friends beckon us on.
